Why Clodia exists
Clodia is a UK-based platform building AI-powered preparation for the exams that stand between international healthcare professionals and their registration — starting with the OET, with IELTS, PLAB, NCLEX and OSCE built on the same engine.
We built it after watching the same pattern repeat across hundreds of candidates: months of attempts scoring in the 310s — close enough to feel cruel, far enough to feel impossible — while the available apps offered the same thing: stock practice tests, generic feedback (“needs more practice”), and a price tag that makes every failed attempt feel expensive.
What actually moves candidates from 310 to 350 isn't more tests. It's knowing what specifically goes wrong — the exact pattern of incomplete noun phrases in Reading, the missing empathy cues in Speaking, the over-long letters in Writing — and drilling those, by name, until they fix.
That's the whole product thesis. Every feature exists because a real candidate failed a practice test, sat with vague feedback, and needed the app to say exactly what went wrong and exactly which five-minute drill would fix it.
What makes this different
Built for 310→350
Every micro-drill targets the specific gaps that keep candidates stuck below Grade B. Not generic OET practice.
Strict AI scoring
The AI scorer is calibrated against the real OET rubric and is genuinely unflattering. No inflated scores.
Built with candidates
Developed alongside people resitting the exam — every feature traces back to a real failure pattern, not a marketing roadmap.
What this app is not
- Not affiliated with OET. Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment runs the real OET. We're an independent preparation service.
- Not a guarantee. The AI predicted band is a directional indicator. The real OET is the real OET.
- Not for clinical use. Every practice case is fictional. Don't make patient-care decisions based on anything here.
- Not just for nurses. All 12 OET professions are supported in the data model. Nursing content is shipping first; doctor / dentist / pharmacy / others follow.
